is this one really a basjoo?

I bought 3 basjoos off ebay from 3 different sellers. they all look alike, but most bananas do. 2 of the basjoos have the exact same growth habit. when the new leaf is unfurling, the next in line spear is clearly visible and standing straight up. the largest plant has very tight leaf bases and holds the new spear "captured" inside the base of the previous unfurling leaf. it remains captured and bent until the previos leaf dase is about six inches long and is then released fron the sheath bent. it straightens out in a day and grows upright. is this basjoo?

Nucci, it's hard to say. Most bananas grow in this fashion. Can you post a picture of your bananas?

thanks for the advice, gardenguy. I am to my embarrasment, very low tech, and incapable of posting pictures. I know the growth habit of one is not like the other two. it's leaves are are a bit broader and more "oval" shaped than the other two. I guess next spring will tell the story, if it does not come back with lots of protection.
