Why is my mango plant dying?

locowdJuly 21, 2007

My manilla mango is turning brown and dying. The leaves started to brown from the bottom and worked its way up to the top of the plant. It's still in the 1 gallon pot in which it was purchased. I have not repotted it because I thought it could wait till winter to plant in the ground. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I water every other day. Thanks.

Most likely too little water for these hot conditions. Also see the thread below:

Almost anything in a 1 gallon nursery can needs to be watered at least once a day.
