Didn't expect this one to flower within the year as the two bulbs were small compared to others and then seemed to spend energy on offsetting but.....
I have pots full of these. Haven't quite figured what they like....started with a few and now have 5 pots full (at least). Blooms are sporadic for me, but bulbs and offsets are growing well. Love the red stripe down the back of the leaf.
I like it. It's different. I have to get one of these. My wish list is getting long for next seasons order. My husband is not gonna be happy lol.
Adorable!! I'm still waiting for mine to bloom which was given to me by someone nice on the forum! I too love the red stripe down the back of the leaf.âºâº
This was really a surprise as I kept thinking it would grow but I guess it is a true miniature - leaves and all.
Jessiann I bought this from glasshouseworks so you can order anytime - oh oh - sorry lol.
My husband is just lucky our budget doesn't include plant purchase money! The list I have is longer than... well, it's long!
Yesterday while poking around and moving pots, I found that one of my H. San Antonio Rose bulbs has sent up a scape. I just hope it blooms soon as I'll be gone few days and don't want to miss it!!
Yeah, and that's when they decide to take their sweet time! ;-)
I hope you get to see it!
Kristi I hope you get to see yours. Take a photo!
Bud is starting to open, so I should get to see the bloom!
Had to snap a quick photo with phone before leaving for work...Here is comparison. So glad I didn't miss this one.

It's beautiful Kristi I'm glad you got to see it. Thanks for the photo.
Got a photo outside with no flash. It's in the comparison photo.
The last photo I have from this pot of bulbs was 30 May 2010. It might have bloomed since then, and I missed it, but it is far from reliable.

So...any ideas for crossing this? I have lots of pollen from this past season....
I saw some large San Antonio Rose bulbs available at Joshua's in Houston Saturday. 1 gallon pots sending up scapes. $10 ea.
Oh thanks Pat!!!! When were you there?
Maida..... Don't buy them all! (hehehe)
Kristi, please email me off line
It's awesome, Kristi! It's definitely one toward the top of my future "want" list!
I have a huge clump of it in the front yard. They bloom later than the hybrid amaryllis.
I started with 1 pot full, now have 3 pots full and have given plenty away. Won't be going to Joshua's this weekend.
