First Time Growing Red Esente Bananas

dueangross(7a)July 24, 2014

This is the first time growing bananas. I bought 2 Red Esente plants in the middle of May. They were only 6" tall when I planted them. They are so awesome to watch grow. Does anybody else have pics? Here are mine.

Shes beautiful, when I click on the second picture its right side up.
Here's my Zebrina that I almost lost this spring due to all the rain we had, I wish I was able to put her in the ground. Show more pictures in a few weeks so we can see how much she's grown.

Your zebrina looks great! I got this one at a little roadside flower shop in an old gas station. I love it so much! She just put out a pup and I am beyond excited!

You did a wonderful job with them over the summer DueanGross. I had to bring mine in a few weeks ago due to a hard frost, l think I'm just going to let her hang out in the living room for awhile to see how she does. Will you be leaving yours in the ground?

Well tge frost hit it last sunday. All week we had 60s weather. But I dug them up this morning because this afternoon week have gotten sleet and snow. They are in my enclosed cellarway right not bare root. Not sure if I should put them in peat moss or what. Need to do some research.
