I'm in Lexington Kentucky and banana's are pretty scarce. Do bananas require 2 or more plants in order to pollinate? I have one tree just beginning to bloom. Plese advise. BTW, I started with just one plant two years ago. I now have over 20....I over wintet them indoors around the house rotating them into and out of the sun room. My largest plant was last year it reached 22 feet tall. I have no idea as to the variety (still trying to identify). THe plant that is blooming this year as 12-14 feet tall.
