Pests and Phyllostachys Nigra's indoors?

Jeffrey SchneiderAugust 25, 2007

Thanks to your help, I have decided to either purchase:

Phyllostachys nigra 'Henon' 'GIANT GRAY HENON'

Phyllostachys Nigra (Black Bamboo.

How do these species do indoors regarding pests? Will I be spraying monthly with rubbing alcohol? Will misting with water once a week be enough to keep pests at bay?

Thank You!

If you get a healthy plant, you may not want to start a spraying program. Give it lots and lots of light and water. However, let it dry out before watering again. If you do get pests then I would address that issue then.
