Textilis Gracilis

bri_fl(9 FL Lakeland)August 21, 2008

I purchased a couple 3 gallons of these to use as a privacy fence in our back yard. Although both have shown new shoots the growth is not as rapid as I would like. Does anyone fertilize bamboo and if so with what NPK combo?

Epson salt? Superthrive? Usually do plumies and brugs so I'm clueless.

Thanks guys

How long has the bamboo been in the ground? I have found that they are often slow the 1st year in the ground but take off after that.

Manure is a great fertilizer for bambooo. Just sprinkle on the surface and water into the ground.
