Tips on growing cybisters from seeds?

dizzy77June 30, 2010

Ok, now I have my precious seeds I want to make sure I get it right. Are cybister seeds any different then other hippy seeds?

Do I use the flotation method?

Should I give them bottom heat?

How long will they take to germinate?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi There,
I'm not too sure about zones here in Australia but I'm in Melbourne.
We have very cold winters with frost and lots of rain this year( We have been in a drought last few years) This week it's been freezing with max temp around 13 degrees celcius.
And our summers are hot and dry sometimes reaching over 40C. Hot sunny dry days.
I hope this helps.

Di, it looks like Melbourne is similar to Jacksonville:

I don't know anything specifically about cybister seeds, so hopefully someone else will give specifics. I have never grown cybister.

Below is a link to general advice about planting amaryllis seeds in our zone.

Good luck!
