Hippeastrum reginae x puniceum

bluebonsai101(6a PA)June 4, 2010

I started these around 5 years ago and got my first blooms yesterday and today. Not a lot of uniqueness to them to be honest, but thought I'd share. Another example of a really tiny Hippi that seems to be in fashion in some circles these days, but with a lot less hybridizing effort :o) Dan

Hi Dan,

Interesting! It appears that H. puniceum's genes completely dominated those of H. reginae.

Thanks for showing the result of the cross.
