Discouraging bees from wood frames of our windows

debtro(z5 IL)May 15, 2013

Every spring, bees show up at the wood frames of our dining room window and burrow in there. They're back again this year. How can I discourage this? I don't want to kill them, but would like them to relocate to a place that doesn't cost $$ to replace. If I block it off now, whoever is in there might be stuck in there and I don't know how many are in there.

Do you know what kind of bees?

I'd might just block/seal it off, not sure the life cycle of your bees,...they might have hatched and ready to lay new eggs in spring?
I haven't looked into, perhaps here is a start,...

Here is a link that might be useful: Wild bees

My guess wood bee carpenter bees? (pun intended).
Is there a small perfectly round hole that they go into?
