Terrific! I visit the Desert Botanical Garden at least once a month, usually twice. Joining the DBG was the very first thing I did when I moved here in 2000. Love it.

These are awesome pictures, so great to see! Thanks for posting them. LOL at the comments, too, hah!

It was an absolutely perfect day to wander about and snap 130+ pics, fairly bright through a veneer of thin cloud cover -- and none too hot considering the time of year. The only disappointment was so many nice Agaves covered in shade cloth. I actually pulled it off a couple plants to get pics before replacing it.

I never knew they allowed desert tortoises to wander the grounds there. Either that, or I stumbled upon a well-executed escape.

Great pic of the tortoise. They definitely let them wander around as I've seen the volunteers highlighting them to visitors when they're wandering about (the tortoises, not the visitors, hah!). Great pic!
