Landscaping

The house is facing the west. Please some suggestions for landing the flower bed on each side of house. The tree has to stay and the shrub I behind the tree against house.
Thank you so much for any advice

"landing"?????! lining?

North side will need shade tolerant plants. Really without knowing what you want it is hard to propose anything.

Flowers? Low water users? Vine? Shrub? Annual, perennial? tropical motif?

Very pretty house (courtyard).

Nice house and great trees! I love that tall "sago palm" (Cycad) at the right. Really nice!

Lantana and Ruellia ("Mexican petunia") love sun and are perennials (ruellia spreads aggressively), and vincas, the fun summer annuals, do too if you keep them watered (you could replace those with geraniums or pansies in winter).

How much water will they get? What kind of plant in general are you looking for? Let us know and I'm sure folks will chime in with ideas.

Happy gardening!
Grant
