I bought a banana tree about 3 years ago, and since then i have removed pups and transplanted them in farirly large nursery containers they are now about 6 ft tall, Idont remember the type that i have, buti bought them from a nursery cataloge.the leaves are very large, but a cuople of the trees leaves are getting a yellow on the rim of the leaves .also there there is a brown drying on the outside of the leave. Is this normal? or can this be prevented?

Thank you

P.S. No bananas yet

a pic would be very healpful to tell you what kind you have. it is normal for leaves to dry out and die soon replaced by new leaves. if the leaves that are yellowing and drying are new then you need a bit less sun and more water. they are heavy feeders so a little compost could help also
