Is it a fungus?

What is making the edges of my red iholene turn black? Is it a fungus? Lack of humidity? Thanks.

Too wet (roots rotting) or too dry.

Yeah, I get that on my nana's too (cavendish). I got it worse because I wasn't watering enough.
