Bees hiding in pumpkin flowers
Yay. My first post. I have been searching for this, but I can't find anything on the subject. I was in my garden and noticed that there are bees hiding in any open pumpkin flowers. Why are they seeking the shelter of the flowers? The wind is blowing around 15mph, there is a persistent low pressure systems sitting over us, and a large thunderstorm recently passed that got as close as 5-7 miles away. It doesn't appear that any precipitation is imminent. Are the bees hiding in response to the wind, pressure, or something else?
