Planting suckers

wallerbillNovember 20, 2013

I just returned from a visit in Nacogdoches, my friends have Banana trees(brown from recent freezes). I noticed some small suckers around the bases and dug a few up. What should I do with them? Plant them in the ground now or in pots and keep them indoors until spring?
Thanks in advance!

are they a foot tall at least? If not, i would reccomend keping indoors, with a well drained soil. if you put small pups outside, they may not be able to tolerate the cold nights.
