Can I grow a Ficus Nitida in a large pot

I wanted to purchase a large Ficus tree (about 15+ feet tall). I noticed at the nursery these are doing pretty well in a relatively small pot. The place I would like the tree is on top of flagstone near our pool so in-ground planting is not an option. Could I buy one of those giant pots you see that are 3 feet high and wide, and plant the tree in the pot? Would it do OK in there or bust out eventually?

It would bust out rather quickly. They have large root systems.

Ficus benjamina (the common house plant "ficus") does well in pots for a long time. Move it under an overhang for the winter frosts.
