Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum as a member but I have always found it helpful to browse In the past. I have a grande selection of phylosstachys bamboo but I'm stuck trying to figure out my first love so to speak. I moved to this home 5 years ago and they were both here. The grove stands about 16' high. There are no compressed nodes near the bottom part of the culms. There's a yellowish transformation as the top half of the culms reach more sunlight. The thickest are about 1.25" and new shoots are still sizing up yearly. It seems to want to clump more then run but I have bad a rhizome run about 3' from the main clump. The soil is very rich humus good drainage and I mulch and fertilize with a slow release lawn feet in the spring and early summer.
My guess was meyeri? Please help
