what kind is this?

I was given this begonia in the early 1990's. Its grown and flowered constantly. Now I'm a more curious gardener and I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of begonia this is. It has round leaves and grows from something I'd refer to as a rhizome rather than a bulb. Thanks for any help,

Lori

I would be interested in what it is also, since I have one growing in my house. I heard that it is referred to as a 'global' begonia.

Well, it appears no begonia experts were watching this thread, so I kept searching for an answer for myself. I found this at the Begonia Society...

The rhizomatous types are popular all across the country and one in particular B.'Erythrophylla' is an early hybrid that was often called it a beef steak or pond lily begonia because of it's large round leaves.

That sounded like what I had so I did a google search for Begonia Erythrophylla and then did an image search as well. It appears to be what it is.
