bacteria for peas?

Do all legumes use the same type of bacteria to get oxygen from the air? Could I use soil that has clover growing in it to mix in with peas to make sure the peas are innocculated?

Sorry, I was typing faster than I was thinking. Can I do that? Last year my peas' foliage was pale and yellowish, could it have been because they lacked bacteria?
