Colchicine in some bulbs?

albert_135(Sunset 2 or 3)July 20, 2012

My sister-in-laws grand-kid, back from university, said she was interested in high concentrations of colchicine in some bulbs. I started to ask questions and she said she had to go do [something with her father] and I never met her again.

Is colchicine in bulbs common?

Have you ever heard of a woman who had rather be with her father than talk to a curmudgeonly old uncle-in-law about colchicine?

It's certainly present in all species of Colchicum or autumn crocus :-) Gloriosa lily, Gloriosa superba is supposed to be a very good source as well. Have no idea about any other bulbs.
