WANTED: bromeliad ignorance educate me, please

sophjess(pa)September 7, 2005

I love plants, especially potted plants. A friend gave me a couple plants to bring back to life. I didn't even know what they were. The new growth started looking healthier and they started to have "pups". So I pulled off all the pups and have continued to do so for a couple of years. The plants look great and I have figured out they are bromeliads. The foliage looks like the one on this sites' intro. But what happens next? Help.

I am not an expert. I do have two Bromeliads that live outside and bloom and pup every year. Stubborn Bromeliads need encouragement and my mother used to use the "apple method". Here is somewhere to go for info on Bromeliad care.
