Am I crazy? Mums in Phoenix

roni175(9)November 21, 2005

A few months ago I visited a friend in Phoenix who has several beautiful mums planted in her garden. I thought mums couldn't survive somewhere like Phoenix... could I plant them in the hi-desert in California? Or is she just an amazing gardening genius?

Chrysanthemums grow well in Phoenix and should do fine for you in the high desert. I have some that get very little care but still grow and bloom.
