riping seeds

ton2(Holland)November 17, 2012

Does some one knows when Hippeastrum seeds in Sao Paulo are ripe? In which month ?

I am writing all information about Hippeastrum species, native in different area's in a book, so I have all information together.

I hope I can get some information.

Thank you very much

Wouldn't they ripen a couple of months after they bloom? If you know when they bloom, timing of seeds should logically follow.

Seems like this basic information on blooming time should be readily available on the internet. Oct/Nov it is their spring/summer.

Jim's Garden Blog says they bloom in Sept/Oct.

Here is a link that might be useful: Jim's Garden Blog
