We've finally had a few days of spring warmth but again expecting cooler temps the end of this week. Our last avg frost date has past so my gh seedlings and plants can go out anytime now. I've turned off the heater and have been leaving the door open through the night, letting them adjust to nighttime temps.
I didn't get seedlings of Oscar MW into the ground until June last year. This year I'm going to put the seedlings out much earlier to compare growth rates with last years later plant out date.
I currently have two varities of A incarnata and one Asclepias tuberosa (Butterfly Weed)plant showing growth in the beds. No sign yet of the common MW (usually the first to show). Yellow aphids have already found the tiny leaves of one MW plant! Where do these things come from so early in the season?
And from the window yesterday, I spotted two different butterflies in my yard. Wasn't close enough to make out markings but one was yellow and the other one had black coloring. Woo hoo, spring has sprung... :-)
How's everyone else doing?
