A. 'Gympie Gold' going variegated?

Is this what it looks like when a plant starts to go variegated?

It sure looks that way, WL! Whether or not it will maintain it is another story. I don't know this cv, is there already a variegated form of it?

No claim of variegation on fcbs, although one of the parents (gamosepala x caudata v. variegata) is variageted.

It's also not too attractive. I've been tempted to toss it in the trash can on several occasions.

I've kept this Gympie Gold and it rewarded me with a pup from the non-variegated side. Today, I yanked it out of the ground and ripped off the pup, put a fertilizer pellet in the leaf joint on the variegated side and repotted it with the variegated side pointing toward the sun. This is its last chance before I give it away to somebody who appreciates a cold hardy member of the Ortgiesia group.

The project continues...it finally flowered and I crossed it with a bunch of junk but it only liked pollen from other Ortgieseas. I got seeds from the Suenos and Ametista crosses. Today I checked the seeds and found that the Suenos cross was mostly albino and the Ametista was mostly green!
