2 new unknown cacti

stephanie_kay(5a IL)February 8, 2013

Was out running errands this morning and stopped by a local greenhouse. They didn't have much but I did pick up 3 little ones. 2 are unknown to me. Can anyone help me out?

I believe the first one (2 pix) is Notocactus mammulosus (synonym, Parodia mammullosa, not sure of spelling & not sure which name is being used now).

Seems silly to say, Stephanie, but I think the other is a Mammillaria (there are gazillions). Maybe someone else will recognize it & pipe up!!

Thanks for the ID Rosemarie, I had someone else also say Parodia mammulosa. and Mammillaria for the other one. I will mark them accordingly and maybe when the one blooms will know which Mammillaria it is.

Thanks agian
