Jade ID please

borrego(Z 10 L.A. Cal.)January 1, 2006

Had this for about a year or so, wondering what jade it is. Can't remember if it has flowered yet. Also, what would cause a compact leafed plant to suddenly grow much larger leaves as seen in the upper left hand corner of the photo?

Borrego,
this might be the common Crassula ovata.
In my opinion the plant long ago suffered from too poor soil or too little water or too much sun exposure and developed an interesting bonsai-like but abnormal shape. Only that recent growth in the upper left hand corner seems healthy and typical to me.
