Prickly pear and cholla seedlings

can anoyone show me a picture of a prickly pear and some cholla seedling pictures so i know which ones which. i bout some mix match seeds and dont know which is which. thanks

Prickly Pears and Chollas are all members of the same species, or group of species, and they look essentially identical when they first germinate. They have seed leaves and will look something like this:

Then the succulent stem will start to develop and you will be able to spot whether it is producing flat pads or a cylindrical stem. This one is a Tephrocactus. Your seedlings will have the same seed leaves but a different shaped spiny bit.

Big fat lumps now, Larry. Although I suppose they are still babies while they've got seed leaves.
