Parodia Chrysacanthion

I haven't managed to get this plant to root up for a couple of years now. It is still rootless but it blooms better and better each year, haha.

It has no feet?? Wild & beautiful!
Do you have a full body photo of it? I'd love to see the whole plant. Don't think I have ever heard of this one before.

Hi Toni-Marie,
A very good product to root Parodia (and other reluctant species) is seramis. The better garden centers should have it or at least be able to get it for you. It's not cheap!

One of our club members brought along a large one of these to a meeting. It was flowering at the time. He asked what was the matter with it. Nobody could see anything wrong with it. He then showed us that it was hollow in the middle, no apparent flesh left yet it was still flowering! Looked fine from the outside...

Haha, yeah, they can surprise you.

Oh well. Maybe this plant just doesn't want to have roots.

I shall see if I can get some seramis though all the same.
