Monarchs in Madison, at last!

ericwiJune 26, 2013

Although I found several monarch eggs, and one caterpillar, several weeks ago, until today, I had not yet actually seen an adult monarch. Today, around 12:15pm, I finally saw a female monarch hovering around milkweed, on Elmside, near Center Ave, on the east side of Madison. We have all sorts of milkweed growing in our yard, and in our neighborhood, so maybe now we will have some monarchs making use of the greenery.

Fantastic, Eric!! And congratulations to the monarchs for finding a place with lots of milkweed! :)
