March is good to my mammillariae

Pallas_AthenaMarch 10, 2014

All of my mammillariae are blooming! First, here's an elongata, "Copper king". This is the first time I have seen it bud so fruitfully.

Wow, yours opened so beautifully! My elongata's needles are pretty dense and strong, so the buds had a bit of trouble pushing out to open fully.

indeed but I thought I had a mealybug when I first saw the bud growing, I poked it and it doesn't move so I just left it, so pleased I did.

I'm sure it must be satisfying to get a flower on one you've grown from seed. Congrats!
