Jade - should I prune?

theresa306September 10, 2007

I'm an inexperienced gardener with a jade plant that I have just let grow. Now its branches hang over the edge and I need some advice. Should I prune it? I was going to put a stake in the pot and tie the plant up and force it to grow up. Any advice would be appreciated

It needs more light. It likes full sun, with acclimation, and then it grows upward with strong branches. You could prune it, it just depends on how you want the plant to look. Good luck! Christy

BTW, there is a lot more info on Jade Plants on the Cacti & Succulent forum. Christy :)
