Echinocactus for Dan

ariole(z7DE)October 29, 2005

Dan, as you requested. I took this pic about 6:45 this AM, just as there was enough light. You probably expected something larger. For me, they are slooooow. It's in a 5" (125mm) round pot.

I really like the spines.

Hi Al,
Wow! What a nice one! You have done a great job, that's for sure.
It must be very old?
A friend of mine has a 16 year old seed grown plant, and it's only 1/2 the size of yours.

Dan, your friend is doing well with his teenager. I am guessing that my seeds were sown about 1980.

1980? That's incredible! Great work.
It must be really interesting to follow the same plant for so many years.
