This cactus has gone to the dogs!

As promised, my recently acquired Chamaecereus silvestrii (Echinopsis chamaecereus).

Working in a nursing home has its benefits, lots of old folk come here and invariably bring some of their potted plants with them, they generously offer cuttings to anyone who shows an interest.

In this case a sweet little old lady is no longer able to care for her plants, gave me her beloved cactus, complete with puppy planter, because I frequently admired it, she also gave me Disocactus flagelliformis.

Neat plant, adorable planter, CP! I often wonder what will become of my plants when I go to that great garden in the sky...

Aww, how sweet! It looks like she took very good care of it. I'm sure it will flourish in your care now CP.

What a cute puppy dog. The plant and flowers are very nice. Are you going to keep it in the planter?
