La Huasteca Canyon, west of Monterrey

astro_mty(Monterrey, Mx.)November 18, 2005

Hi all:

Here are some photos of a last weekend trip to La Huasteca Canyon in Santa Catarina, West of Monterrey, Nuevo León, México.

Enjoy it.

Agave lechuguilla cultivar Charmed Cobra (It´s a joke).

Big Agave victoria-reginae.

Agave victoria-reginae grows in the canyon walls, but some specimens live in the floor, where they are exposed to water flood.

Regards.

Manuel

I envy you living so close to all those beautiful plants in that exciting landscape!

Manuel:
It is good to have the opportunity, to see them growing in its natural habitat. Any rare or new discovery??

It's nice to see the habitat of a favorite Agave, victoria regina. And the locale has so much green.

Many thanks for the post.

I enjoy those habitat type pics, since I live almost a world away the chance of seeing these plants in their natural setting is fairly remote, so thanks for sharing Manuel.
