Too early to transplant/move??

heckaboreFebruary 1, 2013

I have a few plants that I'd like to move and I'm wondering if it's too early. Some are in the ground and some are in containers outside. I live in Walnut Creek, which is Sunset zone 14 or 15. Any advice? Here's my list: ceanothus Julia Phelps (from a container to the ground), carpenteria californica (in-ground transplant), grevillea Robyn Gordon (container to larger container), spirea magic carpet (container to ground), westringia fruticosa wynabbie gem (in-ground transplant).
Thanks!

Not a problem as long as you plant when the ground isn't too wet (which it is not right now) and you keep them watered if we freeze. The spirea is bullet-proof, the others you need to take a bit more care with but they should all be ok. Have fun!
