I want a cactus show, too.

///////////////////////////Start Quoted Text/////////////////////

The CT Cactus & Succulent Society is holding its 30th annual show & sale next weekend, April 6 & 7. We are back at our usual location in Waterbury, CT, the Naugatuck Valley Community College.

All the important details are on our web site, Please join us. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking. Easy-on and easy-off Route 84 in Waterbury.

There are two special events this year. First, Dan Downey's book collection will be sold. Most of them are C&S but there are other subjects, too, such as carnivorous plants. Second, much of Dan's plant collection will be auctioned. The proceeds of these sales will go directly to Dan's family to help support them since his unexpected death a number of weeks ago.

Which reminds me of the times I spent too much after the wine bar (manned by Herbie the Cork Dork) had opened during the Holiday Party of the San Diego C&S Society. Good times.

In reference to Dan's unexpected departure from us
Some of the books are as hard to find as some of the restored back to optimum health plants that will be offered.

A great service from our very knowledgeable cacti and succulent plant growing and cultivating members and it's donation from his surviving family.
