Caterpillar ID

curiositykatJuly 6, 2012

I found this guy in with my cecropia caterpillars. He must of been on the wild cherry I brought in. Any one know what it is?

It's the last instar of the cherry dagger moth. The last instar looks radically different from the middle instar, which is what the one I found a few years ago was in, green with a yellow stripe. It took a while for me to identify it.

It makes a rather plain looking moth.
