Top view? I've seen them usually split in half but this one's kinda split in half with another one growing inside of it?
Side view... is this kinda mistake or is this not even a living stone
No, not a mistake at all. Those are Lithops. As they grow, the outside leaves shrivel away and are absorbed by the new leaves coming out the middle. Basically, this is how it grows and you should not water it until those outside leaves are completely gone.
I kno that about the species but it has been like that for a few years? ?
not enough light.
It gets ALOT of light, its in a very sunny window
A mimicry plant, or called a living stone (Lithops) shouldn't look like that. Where did you get it ?
Mine :) Take a look
Kind of funny in a way. A mind of there own is to be imagined.
Lithops marmorata? Not sure of the name but I do see these for sale quite often at the local non big box nurseries, so they must be easy to propagate. Instead of being as flat as normal, they are more rounded, looking like weird fingers. I can't get them to grow right either.
Lol good cause i thought i had a freak of nature lol, i found him in a crappy little store and i thought how cute but when ever i look up lithops i can't find any like mine, I'm glad I'm not they only one haha
Recently he got a puncture on one of the bottom leaves and now it's all shrivel up :-( now i feel bad cause he was so cute
