Does anyone know the name of this flower? I found it about half way up the mountain on the way to Lake Arrowhead.
It's a little tough to tell without seeing the structure and coloration of the leaves, but judging by the flowers, it might be a variety of eriogonum fasciculatum, aka California buckwheat.

Agreed that this one is a native California buckwheat. We grow three varieties in our San Diego garden and all are butterfly magnets that require good drainage and need little else in the way of care.
