Really Early Flowers Anyone?

luis_pr(7b/8a Hurst, TX)September 1, 2013

It is not technically Fall yet but I was wondering if anyone was having any really early bloomage yet? I have been trying to build a list of really early blooming sasanquas (in your zone) for years but have not gotten around to doing it yet so maybe your comments may help.

I didn't see anything blooming in early September, but a few days ago I saw a couple of 'Arajishi' blooms here in the SC Lowcountry.

Hi Luis, My first was early last week Hana jiman. Now two Marthas is flowering and Northern lights buds are bursting. I have a few others that I will look at tomorrow, Oct. 14. And will try and post an update.

Lots of sasanquas blooming now. The only japonicas I've seen so far are 'Arajishi', 'Daikagura' and 'Joshua E Youtz'. Sadly, these aren't my plants, though they are all on my wish list. Photo attached of 'JEY'...
