April Garden Photo

WinslowsMomApril 21, 2013

Here is my garden yesterday when we had a handsome visitor, as pictured. The roses are very happy this week.
As are the weeds, but thats another story. I have Dowdesdell Delphiniums in Blue just sprouting their wee leaves to fill in the blanks in a few weeks. Plus a bunch of bachelors buttons and zinnias. But I am very happy now. The tomato on the right is Mr. Stripey.

Handsome visitor! My husband's favorite kind of dog.

What is the pink rose you have in the back?

Its 20 years old. I think it was a Chicago Peace. It is happy all of the time.

Frequent dead heading and lots of long stemmed bouquets, along with a little Dr. Earth keep him very happy. A constant bloomer ! Also a lovely scent.
