need plant help - ID

lady_nikki(z6OK)April 10, 2012

Good Morning!

I am an Okie but my neice lives in LA. She and her DH have recently bought an older home in the Silver Lake district. When I visited her, I was very impressed with the variety and size of the plantings in her back yard. I was able to help her ID some of them but I'm not that familiar with the CA horticultural scene.

If I were home, I would call the master gardeners and ask for someone to come out and help, but I can't find that here in LA.

So if anyone out there would be willing to help out in IDing and advising on care of plants that have been in the ground for years, would you let me know?

thanks so much

Nik

Hi Nik,
Congrats to your niece and her husband. The easiest thing to do might be to take photos of the plants and post them here.

I couldn't find the hotline for Los Angeles, but the link to Orange County is below. You can send an e-mail with a photo.
