Aunt Dee Wisteria

Hi, I have an Aunt Dee wisteria that I have been growing for about 10 years. From what I understand they are very aggresive,not mine. I am still waiting for it to cover my pergola. It flowers alright but the blooms and leaves are very tiny, almost looks stunted. I planted another one at a different spot and in 3 years it's quadrupled the size of my older wisteria. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do to give it a boost.. My husband says he'll give it 1 more year before he yanks it out!

I would try cutting it back to 2', digging it up, then digging down and around an additional 2' just to make sure it's not planted on a big rock or gravel bed that you don't know about, then enrich the soil and replant it. Bonemeal is wonderful stuff for root growth.
