Hi gardening buddies,
I posted today on the American Iris Society World of Irises blog. Lots of photos of orchid colored irises, and a special shout-out to my inspiration, hoovb. If you like irises, you may want to have a look.

Simply spectacular.

The shot of the roses and irises and the one of the delphs behind the irises are my favorites!

You use flower colors the way an artist uses paint, it's gorgeous.

I have a good number of irises all of a sudden, I rescued a bunch from the back corner last year and a friend gave me some she'd received from a neighbor years ago and had in pots too small for them to bloom. Some are just now starting to show a little bit of color in the first buds to open, I'll post pictures of them when they bloom.

Thanks, everyone. I must have taken 1200 pictures over the last week. I'm going to be so sad when it's all done in a few weeks!

Love love love your beautiful pics of your glorious garden. These inspire me to try iris once more. They are a sentimental favorite from childhood, but i've not had success with them. I gave up too easily, i suspect.
