tiny white flies when cutting the grass on the lawn

keith13(south ontario)July 2, 2012

Early morning when cutting the grass tiny and I mean tiny white flys by the hundreds maybe thousands fly off the grass leaves. Are these called "White flys" and if so what do you use to get rid of them. I would assume they are laying eggs in the grass. Are they harmful to the grass or just bothersome.

I have them to. Every step you take, they are fly at ground level around you. I think they are the moth from the budworms.
