Friend has a bunch still in a bucket in his garage.
Few had growth of about one inch.
Can I still plant them in a pot or two ???
Best way ???
(early August - Zone 6)
It is not to late to pot them up. It is so hot this year it is possible that you will get a flower. You will definitely get leaves before you will have to bring them in for the winter. Most of my cannas I grow for the leaves for the tropical look.
Mine are usually still growing outside in early Nov. I have had light frost not bother the leaves.
The ones that have leaves might burn if you put them in full sun. So Plant and put them in the shade for a week and then move them to sun. If you put them in the sun and the leaves burn you can cut them down and new ones will grow before winter.
should get them - I just cut off my first stalks so the second stalks can take off -lots of water and a good balanced 20-20-20 fertilizer.
