just a non famous canna? LOL I don't find a lot of information or seller's selling them?
The canna that is frequently known as 'Robert Kemp' is the species "Canna compacta". It is native to South America.
Thank you William..it doesn't seem to be a big "want" amongst trades....:))
It seems to be the most common one in these parts. Just driving around, it seems like over half of the canna's I see are Robert Kemp.
Around here (in TN) I see the red leaved orange blooms a lot...funny I don't have any of those..LOL
These are about all I have and really wanting to trade for other kinds...( I do have 3 other colors but very few of them to trade for ) ....:))
As stated by William Z., Canna 'Robert Kemp' is a synonym for Canna compacta, a wild species from S. America. It has also acquired another synonym, also being known as Canna 'Tiki Torch'.
Thank you mdalebo....just wanting to trade for some..guess I'll break down and buy some...lol
I am drying out some seeds in my carport right now. My Robert Kemps are more orangey than true red. I have started them from seed but the germination rate is not very high.
I can also send you a couple rhizomes if you want, but I have never mailed them and I don't know how.
What do you have?
I have a 125 foot bed of nothing but Robert Kemp canna's...looking to trade those for other's...:))
