Yes, the poor thing--think they are those Bracanoid wasp cocoons. Ugh.

well all 4 of those guys were infected horribley witrh them. So this time my husband disposed of them. Now, I read somewhere that they can leave a virus behind that will affect anything that comes in contact with it (on the plant that the caterpillar was on)...Is that true?

This is always a dilemma because I like butterflies/moths, but I do not like things eating entire plants in one sitting. Gluttonous hornworms!

Omg, yes they are gluttons. I planted oregano which I did not know what it was until someone identified it for me. I only grew it just to do it, because I was given seeds and didn't know what they were. Lol
The entire plant is gone except one flower!!
